Maria I. KAKAVA

Biography

Maria Kakava is an Associate at Calavros Law Firm – Filios – Kloukinas since 2025.

She holds a Degree in Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as an LL.M. in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge.

Ms Kakava has engaged in various projects in the fields of civil and commercial litigation and arbitration. She has successfully dealt with complex disputes arising out of contracts (distribution, supply, sale and purchase, preliminary, merchant acquiring agreements, etc.), unfair competition and antitrust, tortious claims, defamation, insolvency proceedings, as well as with actions regarding the annulment, recognition or enforcement of arbitral awards.

She is a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2023, currently licensed to represent clients before the Court of First Instance.
