The 2nd Science Congress on Competition Law, under the title “Trends and Developments on Competition Law: 360 Approach” was held on the 16th of March, 2018, powered by Nomiki Bibliothiki and Economia. Our Senior Associate Panagiota Chr. Kloukina, holder of an LL.M. degree on European Competition Law from King’s College London, attended the Congress on behalf of Calavros and Partners Law Firm. Four thematic blocks pertaining to implementation of articles 101 and 102 of TFEU, Merger Control and State Aid were presented by exceptional panelists, members of HCC and EU DG Comp, as well as renowned competition law lawyers. Goal of the Congress was to pinpoint the developments in Competition Law since last year as well as the challenges from a competition law perspective in a new digital era. Highlight of the Congress was the enlightening presentation of Google and Facebook cases, attracting most participants’ interest. Thus, the great question remains: Is Competition Law Framework capable of capturing digital markets?
