Biography

Dr. Evangelos Ir. Ziakas is an Associate at Calavros Law Firm - Filios - Kloukinas since 2022 has been appointed as Senior Associate since 2024.

He graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2011) and holds a Ph.D. in Civil Procedure Law from the University of Konstanz (2021), as well as an LL.M. in Civil Procedure from the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen (2013).

He specializes in civil and commercial law and civil litigation before Greek courts.

Mr Ziakas has significant experience in both litigation and commercial arbitration. In litigation practice, he has a proven track record in proceedings across different industries, notably involving cases of equipment supply contracts and construction of power plants, as well as cases of unfair competition, trademarks and collective redress. His experience in arbitration encompasses cases administered under the ICC rules, as well as ad hoc arbitrations. Mr Ziakas has also published several legal articles.

He is a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2018, currently licensed to represent clients before the Court of Appeal.
